For Christmas I gave myself some fibre, purchased from four different dyers. Its a treat, to use prepared fibre, ready to spin. I have bags of wool and mohair and cashmere to process myself, and sometimes it's just nice to sit back, pull something from the basket that has called my name and just get to it. So, I purchased some fibre from Sheepspot, and this is "Autumn Birch" in Dorset Down. I spun a 2-ply yarn, which i don't do very often, but in this case worked well for what I wanted to do.

The first single was spun with half of the roving, which had been split lengthwise.

The second ply was spun with the colours separated and spun in 6 sections, white, yellow and grey, white, yellow and grey.

The singles are quite airy and the final result is a bouncy 2-ply! (I'll add a photo soon)
